ARX中CAcUiEdit类的convert()函数的用法？

其英文帮助如下，不过看不太明白（retrieve的确切意思），请高手解释一下，该函数的作用。

void Conver();

For numeric or angular styles, this member retrieves the control text, passes the text to  CovertData() and updates the control with the conveted text (assuming there was no conversion error)
